The Bexar County Clerk of Courts is the official records custodian for civil district court records and criminal felony court records in Bexar County. Court records are documents generated during legal proceedings, such as criminal case files, bankruptcy records, and records from family or probate court.

They contain information about these legal proceedings, including names of the parties involved, dates of hearings, testimony and evidence, and rulings in cases. Court records are kept in office for a period of time and then disposed of or archived. Most are considered public records, though some information may be redacted when copies are provided to the public. The current Bexar County District Clerk is Gloria A. Martinez.
Bexar County court records may be accessed in several ways. Baxter County hosts several online databases, including a Civil Court Records Search, a Criminal Court Records Search, and an Online District Clerk Criminal Records search. These may be searched by name or record numbers.
Requests for copies of court records may also be directed to the District Court Clerkâs office. These requests should provide the name and contact information of the requestor and identifying information for the records. This might include: a case number; the full name of the plaintiff, dependent, or attorney involved in the case; a date range; and/or a document type. Copies of records may incur a small copying and/or research fee.
